of Matchroom Boxing
Dating back to the Ancient Origin's of 688 BC in Ancient Greece, where Boxing was seen as an Olympic Event. The sport then officially adopted the Queensbury rules after several years in 1867, which saw mandatory gloves and 3 minute rounds being implemented. It wasn't until 1982, when Matchroom Boxing was established by Barry Hearn competing against promotions such as Frank Warren's Queensbury promotions dating back to the 80s. Since then Matchroom have developed many fighters in becoming the greatest the sport has ever seen.
